Travelers for Travelers trust system

Travelers for travelers try's to keep the trust level of all our individual members as high as possible. As a member you decide whom to trust and who not. We can imagine that it is difficult to just let someone spend time with you, without knowing each other at all. On the website you can see and read what other people say about the member who you want to contact or who contacted you. When you look at the travel friends of the member you can find out who they are, and what they say about the member.

You decide whom to trust

We have build a simple Trust system that you can use as a guideline to see how trustworthy a member is. The system works as follows: If you request a place to sleep, an activity, food or transport and the person accepts your request, you become his/her travel contact. As a travel contact you can give a recommendation for the other person.

There are 2 types of recommendations:

• Negative: If you give someone a negative recommendation you say: I do not trust him/her. I recommend nobody to contact that person. So you have to be very sure before you give someone a negative recommendation. You can alter your recommendation if you chance your mind. Please be careful before giving a negative recommendation. If a person has 3 Negative recommendations he/she is kicked out of the community.

• Positive: If you enjoyed your time, please give a recommendation. You can give stars to the person you have met. If you give 5 stars it means that you had a great time, and you fuly trust that person.

Be Careful: When a member has no recommendations. If a member has travel friends you can see what people have to say about that member. It might give you an impression.

To let our trust system work always write a recommendation if you spend time with someone, try to find travel friends that link to your profile, and check each others passports.

The website just opend in April 2007, so you can not expect a lot of recommendations at the moment.
