For a good bit of my life I backpacked and outfitted adventures here in the Philippines. Now things have changed I have my Inn for artist and backpackers here in Baguio City. Baguio City is a mountain resort 5,000 ft above sea level. I am still a traveller but online in the www:) but I have plans to move on again next year. I am thinking of South American, especially Bolivia. I wanna hook up with travellers who are going that way. My plan is to live with the indigenous people from that area. If you're interested to check out the Philippines, I live in the best location here in the Philppines. BAGUIO CITY is the summer capital of this country. Compared to the heat of the lowlands, this area is cool but not so cold-- actually just right! You are very much welcome in my place. It is called SKY. It's a respite to the heat and noise of Manila). I can guide you to exciting destinations in this country. All I can say after travelling so much around here is that the VARIETY is exceptional and another good thing is that Filipinos can talk English(tagalog english or TAGLISH) that english speaking people can follow. Filipinos were under the spanish rule for more than 300 years then the american rule. The Philippines is an independent nation now. Filipinos are originally Malayan in stock, as the original wave of migration were the "datus" from Indonesia and Malaysia. I enjoyed getting to know the places and people in this country, I am sure you will also. I am willing to make an exchange deal with my place if you're interested. I could send you some pictures as sampler. Let me know, we can talk. I am also currently thinking of coming up with an off the grid community. I have a place already and it is in a very strategic location-- along a highway but in a forest setting(Sierra Madre) The area has a spring of it's own. I built a wood house there 2 years ago.
