I travel across Europe several times a year by either car or motorcycle and usually spend some time on the motorcycle in Africa every year.
The reason for my travel is the trip not the destination. I once left London driving to Monaco and ended up in Athens.
There are some way points on the route that are mandatory. i.e., it is impossible for me to drive through France without calling in at both Avignon and Ile de Re.
